SPASTiC MooSE

*Sumus Insani*

Spastic Moose is an eccentric little band based in Hamden, Connecticut. Our accomplishments include 6 and 1/3 albums (some available now on CD); a single (which there is only one copy of); 9 music videos; four album-accompanying books containing cartoons, lyrics, and other lunacy; stickers; and a home page. The London film studio Violet has done a documentary about the band and produced one of our music videos. We have also written or sent demo tapes to four or five miniscule record labels who have completely refused to pay any attention to us.

Album Info:

0. (SR2.717) Stuff - UMO Promotional Song. Extremely valuable first single. Only one copy in existence and you can't have it.

1.(SR3) Desire And Deception. Cover features a collection of drawings which have absolutely nothing to do with the album. 27 songs, including the hits "Joy Is A Word That I Fully Know The Meaning Of", "The 003 Conspiracy", "There's No Noise" and "III". Total album length is 57 minutes and 6 seconds. Includes a 27 page booklet (8.5x11") with lots of drawings, song information, and other Spastic Moose propaganda. "Desire And Deception" was once mentioned on TV, but it was part of the monologue in an advertisement for a sultry pay-per-view movie, not the Spastic Moose album, unfortunately. AVAILABLE ON CD

2.(SR4) Stereograph Vs. Monolith - 15-24. Cover features another collection of drawings which are completely unrelated to the album and also make it difficult to distinguish from the first album. 39 songs in 51 minutes, including "The Martian Anthem", "YO OATS", "SPASTCSPAM BOLD XXXX", "Straduski Opus 3 In C Minor", and "The Fastest Song In The World Bovine Mix". Also includes a 12 page booklet (8.5x11") with drawings, lyrics, demons, and song information. The booklet also reveals what PVC stands for. "Stereograph Vs. Monolith 15-24" was never mentioned on TV.

3.(SR5) The New Regime. The only slightly pretentiously-entitled and most-recently-released third album. Prospective hits include "The Drama & Little Bear", "¿Any Better?", "void main (void)", "Rock The Train", "Schooltime Fun-Days", and "Hait". The album includes a smaller booklet (which is actually more professional-looking) but is longer than the others (42 songs, with a total of 63 minutes on the nose). Get yours before the limited editions run out! Write ImightbeTM@aol.com for more information. (or just order it!)

4.(SR6) Audat. OK, we're finally done with the new album, Audat! It's better than earlier releases! Includes such smash hits as "Under The Covers Tonight", "Party Spastic Moose USA", "We Don't Eat Glass", and the song which defines a new epoch in music, The "Intermission"! Order your albums today! AVAILABLE ON CD

5.(SR7) The Ass Project. The name for this album seems to have come from Marc's propensity to take the little stickers that come with blank tapes and spell out "ASS" with them on the tapes of Spastic Moose stuff that he makes from me. This is the first volume of our Out Takes / Alternate Versions collection. Only for the True Spastic Moose Fan.

6.(SR8) Doesn't Have A Name Yet. Our 5th album, called VECTOBOT was finished last summer and is due out for release on CD soon. Again I must claim that we are improving our ability to make songs. Prospective hits include "Sultry Pantry", "Down In The Pasement", "How To Make A Dry Day Moist", and "The Song Where Tom Was Trying To Jam But Marc Was Trying To Play Beck Songs And Taleen Didn't Know What The Hell Was Going On But Then Tom Got Them All Together And It Rocked Except Tom Didn't Have The Trumpet Track Turned Up Very Loud So It Was Hard For Marc To Mix But Really It Was Marc's Fault Because He Should Have Been Doing That Stuff Since He Is the Official Producer And Sound Engineer And Then He Got The Pizza". We may eventually change the name of that third song to "Snow Swan". This is a shorter album -- Marc told me that was cool because Guided By Voices does it, and, hitting my weak spot, I let him convince me to do it. AVAILABLE ON CD

7.(SR?) Boring Central. The second Spastic Moose Out-Takes and Alternate Versions collection. Not finished yet, but we'll let you know!

8.(SR?) Then Come The Chunks. We made this album in one day; the day before Marc and I went to different schools 800 miles apart. Despite these unusual circumstances, I (Tom) think this album rocks. Still, not as polished as most of our other albums, and only for those tolerant of our improvisational antics.

9.(SR?) Doesn't Have A Name Yet. We're about 1/3 through with another album again!
